Uneven or darker-looking skin in intimate and high-friction areas is incredibly common. If it bothers you, Intimate Brightening is a professional treatment designed to improve the appearance of uneven pigmentation and help the skin look more even.
Private. Professional. Judgment-free.
Skin doesn't have to be the same colour everywhere. Intimate and high-friction areas are often naturally darker than the surrounding skin. There is nothing that needs to be "fixed."
But if the appearance of uneven pigmentation is something you would like to improve, that's where Intimate Brightening comes in.
Think of it as targeted professional skincare for areas we don't usually talk about.
At Lumen, Intimate Brightening is performed as a topical professional treatment focused on the appearance of uneven pigmentation and overall skin quality in eligible external areas. The goal is not to give you a different skin colour, it's to help the treated area look brighter and more even over time.
The professional system used at Lumen contains pigmentation-focused and skin-supporting ingredients including kojic acid, glutathione, retinol, bisabolol and licorice root extract.
Intimate Brightening can be used on several external areas where darker or uneven-looking pigmentation commonly shows up.

Along the bikini line and surrounding external groin skin.
External skin around the pubic and intimate area. Suitability depends on the exact area and will be confirmed before treatment.
The external perianal skin can be treated. Nothing is applied internally.
For uneven-looking pigmentation in the underarm area.
The pigmented skin surrounding the nipple can also be assessed for treatment.
Not sure whether the exact spot bothering you can be treated? Ask us. We'll confirm what's appropriate before we start.
$149 per session. Most plans start with 5 to 6 sessions. We confirm your plan, and what it will cost in total, at your consultation.
This is a series, not a one-and-done treatment. Most treatment plans begin with approximately 5 to 6 sessions, typically spaced 7 to 10 days apart. Improvement is gradual, and your plan can be adjusted based on the area, your skin and how it responds.
Some clients may benefit from maintenance after the initial series, usually after approximately 1 to 3 months depending on the skin.
Individual results and treatment plans vary. A specific shade or degree of improvement cannot be guaranteed.
If you normally shave or wax the treatment area, don't do it the same day as your appointment. Plan to shave or wax at least 2 days beforehand so the skin is not freshly irritated when we treat it.
This applies in particular to the groin and underarm areas.
This is a private treatment. We'll discuss the area, your goals and the treatment plan without making it weird.
We look at your skin and the exact area you want treated before recommending a plan.
This is not a women-only service. If the area is appropriate to treat and uneven pigmentation bothers you, we can assess it.
Intimate pigmentation is normal. Choosing to treat it is personal, and so is choosing not to.
A note on this page. The information here is general and is not medical advice. Whether any treatment is suitable for you can only be determined in person, by a practitioner, after an assessment. If you have a symptom that concerns you, such as itching, pain, a change in texture, or bleeding, please speak to a physician rather than booking a cosmetic treatment.
